Barry Weber is the chief information security officer and data protection officer at Global Genes, supporting rare disease patients and research through secure, structured data sharing via the RARE-X project. He brings deep expertise in security frameworks and privacy laws, including GDPR, HIPAA, and U.S. consumer health data regulations.

Barry has held IT leadership and consulting roles at PwC, Unisys, and Orion Health. He is active in the society of information management, IAPP, and the FBI InfraGard program, and volunteers with SecureTheVillage to support cybersecurity for small businesses.
